Welcome to Catholic Path (Senda Católica). These Terms of Use govern your use of our mobile application on Android. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using this application, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you must not use the application.

2. Description of the Service

Catholic Path (Senda Católica) is a Catholic spiritual companion application that offers, among other features:

Biblical study of the Old and New Testaments.
Pastoral consultations and personalized spiritual guidance.
Reflections on Catholic topics (Sacraments, Virgin Mary, Eucharist, etc.).
Catholic prayers organized by category.
Streaks, achievements, and gamification of spiritual study.
Audio content and customization options.
Optional Premium subscription with additional content.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the application to:

Personal devotional use, prayer, and Catholic spiritual formation.
Study the Bible and learn about the Catholic faith.
Save favorite prayers and track your reading progress.
Submit pastoral consultations and request reflections.

It is prohibited to:

Use the application for commercial purposes without authorization.
Attempt to hack, modify, decompile, or alter the application.
Submit content that is offensive, illegal, or contrary to Catholic morality.
Distribute viruses or malicious code.
Violate intellectual property rights.
Use automated methods (bots) to interact with the service.

4. Intellectual Property

All content of the application — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and data compilations — is the exclusive property of Senda Católica or its licensors and is protected by international copyright laws. Biblical texts and traditional prayers belong to the public domain or to their respective rights holders.

5. AI-Generated Content

Pastoral consultations, biblical exegesis, and reflections may be generated using artificial intelligence systems. By using these features you acknowledge and accept that:

AI-generated responses are informational and devotional in nature and do not replace the spiritual direction of a priest or qualified religious counselor.
Generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or interpretations that are not part of the official teaching of the Catholic Church.
For doctrinal, sacramental, or moral matters, you should always consult a priest or your local diocese.
We do not assume responsibility for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

6. Pastoral Confidentiality

We treat your spiritual queries with discretion. Pastoral consultations are processed confidentially and are not shared with third parties for commercial purposes. You can review our Privacy Policy for further details.

7. User Content

If the application allows you to submit content (consultations, comments, saved preferences, etc.), you retain the rights to your content but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process and display it solely for the purpose of providing you with the service.

8. Premium Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

The application may offer Premium subscriptions and in-app purchases through Google Play. The following conditions apply:

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Subscription management and cancellation is done from your Google Play account.
Refunds are subject to Google Play policies and applicable law.
Prices may vary by country and may be modified with prior notice.
We use RevenueCat to manage Premium subscriptions.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the application, to understand our data handling practices.

10. Advertising

The application may display third-party advertisements in its free version. We are not responsible for the content of those ads or for the privacy practices of the advertisers. The Premium subscription may offer an ad-free experience.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Senda Católica shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the application, including the loss of data, content, or progress.

12. Modifications of the Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the application at any time without prior notice. We shall not be liable to you or to third parties for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the application.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the application immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms of Use.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Chile, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon publication in the application. Your continued use of the application after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
